New Section on Website Planned

Although the dust has barely settled on the new website, we still have lots of plans to improve and expand it. Of course, we will be spending time adding new items to the shopping catalogues so make sure you keep checking back to view the new products. However, mine production has been a little slower than usual as Andrew is busy planting our winter crops at the moment.

We know that many of our customers are also interested in fossicking and rockhounding. The Glen Innes and Inverell district in northern NSW is particularly well endowed with gems of all kinds. This makes it a fantastic place to visit and spend some time searching for sapphires and the many other gems to be found.

map-nw.jpgBut where do you find information on what to find and where to look ? We can see that detailed information is difficult to access and so we are planning a whole new section of our website to fill this gap. There will be maps, photographs, information on location and facilities.

We are working hard to collate all the information now but if you can help, we would love to hear from you. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive information resource for visitors to the area who are interested in looking for gems, minerals, crystals, etc. Feel free to comment on this post or contact us directly if you have any information to contribute.

Stay tuned for further developments on this – the new section is almost ready and we will announce when it has been published here.

Cheers for now from Aussie Sapphire

One Response to New Section on Website Planned

  1. Hello all,

Just letting you know that this job is well underway with some of the information online now: three maps of the northwest and southeast areas of the Glen Innes district and a detail of the Torrington State Conservation Area. Hotspots on these maps are still to be added. Some items are listed on the Fossicking Info category (see our online shop in the top left menu so take a look. Links to the maps are found in the Fossicking Page (look in the resource centre). More to be added over the next week.
